Easter

This Easter was Addison's 1st Easter and it was so much fun. People aren't kidding when they say holidays are a lot more fun with kids around. Now, of course she didn't do much, but it was fun to find an Easter dress and to have a little Easter basket for her. We had a wonder Easter spent with family and it couldn't have been any better.

We colored a lot of eggs with my family and Brighton's family. With my family's eggs we got a little creative and found some sparkles I had and made our own designs. Fun but messy.

Then I went and spent some time with my SIL and colored more eggs there and played some fun games with her and her boys.

Then that Saturday we went to Brighton's sister's house and colored some more eggs and had a fun Easter egg hunt. Addison found one egg and just enjoyed eating that egg while Brighton searched for the rest.

Then on Sunday we enjoyed a great nap and some family time at home.

9 Months

Addison is now 9 months old and we love it. She is exploring and getting into everything which keeps me on my toes. She loves to chew on anything she can get her hands on. Including cords, paper, garbage cans, diapers, plastic bags, and flip flops. My house is now super clean because if it is on the floor, it is in her mouth. But I love watching her explore, find new things, and learn new things every day. She loves to smile all the time and will smile and anyone who comes her way. She loves to smack her lips and has a fake laugh that she likes to use on Brighton. She loves to babble as she plays with her toys or is in her car seat (like she is talking to herself) and she loves to crawl around saying 'mamamama'. She still doesn't like to sit but would rather crawl or lay on her back kicking her legs in the air. She has three teeth and her 4th one is working its way in right now. She is 28inches tall (70th %) and only weights 16lbs (20th %). Her little baby rolls are diminishing and I miss her chubby thighs already. I can't wait to see (both good and bad) what the next 3 months bring!!!

We took Addison to the park one day to feed the ducks and play on the swings one afternoon. She loved the ducks and would just sit in my arms and watch them. The ducks were VERY friendly and pretty much ate (stole) right from our hands. Afterwards we took her to the swings and she loved them. I have a video, which won't play, of her on the swing kicking her legs like crazy as we pushed her. But since the video won't work :( here is the one picture from our little adventure.

And one more random picture. I came out of the shower one day to find Brighton and Addison watching Sports Center. Gotta love Around The Horn.

St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patricks Day! We had fun doing a whole lot of crawling around. Addison is so mobile and I love it. Anywhere I go, she wants to go too. She smiles a lot and loves to be where people are and rarely hold stills. She is 9 months old next week and I can't believe how much she has changed since day one. Her hair has a red tint to it and her eyes are bright blue. She has two teeth, LOVES to eat cheerios and feed herself. She is the funnest, hardest, and best thing to ever come into my life. My life has done a complete 180 since this little one entered into this world and we LOVE HER!!!!

Sun

This has been a week of sleepless nights, runny noses, double ear infections, and some drooling. So we thought we would get out and enjoy some good old Vitamin D. I can't wait for Spring.

Everything, including the camera, goes in the mouth.

Halloween and the Move

Let the posts about the holidays begin. I didn't dress Addison up very well for Halloween because I knew she would be asleep for it and costumes are EXPENSIVE. So we bought her a little kitty outfit. It came with a kitty bib which came in very several times throughout the ward Halloween party. So the outfit couldn't have been more perfect.

Right before Thanksgiving we moved...into our first house! It was kind of sad to leave my grandpa's newly remodeled basement but it the time was right for us to move.

Addison's Room.

We LOVE the new house and love the neighborhood. The house is still in a process of decoration (which may take years) but it will be a great place to raise our family!

Old House...New

Well four months after the remodel started my grandpa's basement was finished! It was amazing. It was like a whole new house. Here are a few pictures with my amazing picture taking skills.

My favorite part was the new bathroom! There was a tub for the baby and enough room on the toilet so my legs didn't touch the wall.

No more wood burning stove and no more wood paneling. A miracle.

Valentines

We had a fun little family filled day on Valentines. Brighton took the day off work and made Addison and I valentine waffles. We then at the last of the sugar cookies I made and...discovered that Addison had her first tooth! I was feeding her some good old sweet potatoes when I noticed it in her mouth. Her first tooth came in and I didn't even notice. We got lucky with that one. Knock on wood, I hope teething is this easy with every tooth. I spent the rest of the day so proud that my baby girl had a tooth I forgot to take any more pictures. Well Happy Valentines Day!
