I'm Still Ready

I'm still way ready to have this baby. But to keep my mind off the last 8 days of my pregnancy I am going to post about something other than how miserable I am.

On Sunday we celebrated Father's Day and Brighton and my Dad's birthdays. We get together with my family on the 2nd Sunday of every month and so we celebrated everything with my family last week and not this week.

These next two pictures are just random but they REALLY make me laugh hard. My sister Michelle has a cat names Zuri (yes after the elephant, very fitting) and her cat is...um huge. We love it! We don't fully understand the cat but she has some knee problems and hip problems and consequentially likes to lay on her back. In these next two pictures she is attacking/eating a stick while we brush her tummy. This is a common positions for her and we love to tease her while she lays like that. You can kind of get a glimpse at just how big she is. She is so cute and so squishy!

Today my mom had her piano performance for her national certification. This is a certification that usually takes someone two years to complete and my mom has done it in a year and a half and has worked so hard to get it done. She has spent many hours practicing, studying, doing homework, and many other things so she can complete her certification. She had judges there tonight to judge her performance and she did amazing. She was so nervous but she played immaculate and her songs were not easy. I am so proud of her and all she has accomplished! And she did it all on her 33 wedding anniversary!! My mom is flat out AMAZING!

Ok, NOW it's safe for that little girl to come out! I figure, the longer they're in there, the more antibodies they're going to have from their mommy! The last little while is miserable, to be sure, but you're almost there (I was a day over and had to be induced...). And once they're here it will feel lovely to have them out (even though I missed it and my body was miserable in a different way!). Honestly, rest all you can these last few days to prepare for the big event and the exhaustion that is motherhood! Good luck - so excited to see pictures! :)
